Art Supply Warehouse

is a wonderland of stuff I want. A wanterland! Spent a couple of dreamy hours there Monday afternoon looking at painting mediums, brushes, boxes, books, paper, pencils, portfolios, pastels, paint tube squeezers, solvents. Still, I was almost able to stick to my shopping list and just replenished my supply of some oil paints and smaller canvases. There was a big brush sale so I grabbed up a handful of #1 and #2 brights. (I wear them down to nubs) Picked up a big history of French painting from the sale book table. ($10!) Here’s a phone-pix of the sale brush display.
It was a beautiful weekend. Friday: champagne and a great conversation about eternalism and nihilism. Tasty grilled ribs on Saturday. Worked on the painting all weekend, mopped the floors in the quiet heat of Sunday afternoon while Val went flying, read the web, planned the new front garden, rolled up a sweet katamari.
